ATHENS. EODY announced 2,800 laboratory confirmed new cases on Thursday 5 August - including 44 in Corfu.
EODY announced that there were 2,800 confirmed new cases today. 14 cases were detected at entry points.
The total number of cases in Greece is now 506,672, of which 51.2% are males. Over the last 7 days 154 of the cases are connected to arrivals from abroad and 1,829 are connected with known cases.
There were 12 deaths today taking the total number of fatalities to 13,026. 95.2% of these had underlying health conditions or were over 70.
192 patients are intubated in ICUs.The average age is 64 and 82.3% have underlying health conditions or are over 70. 2,829 patients have been discharged from ICUs
The number of new hospital admissions is 193 (-5.39%) and the average number of admissions throughout the country over the last 7 days is 175.
