ATHENS. EODY announced 2,156 laboratory confirmed new cases on Monday 2 August - including 28 in Corfu.
EODY announced that there were 2,156 confirmed new cases today. 8 cases were detected at entry points.
The total number of cases in Greece is now 497,061, of which 51.2% are males. Over the last 7 days 155 of the cases are connected to arrivals from abroad and 1,687 are connected with known cases.
There were 8 deaths today taking the total number of fatalities to 12,983. 95.2% of these had underlying health conditions or were over 70.
188 patients are intubated in ICUs.The average age is 65 and 80.9% have underlying health conditions or are over 70. 2,815 patients have been discharged from ICUs
The number of new hospital admissions is 167 (+2.45%) and the average number of admissions throughout the country over the last 7 days is 173.
