Corfu Health Centre - 2-day health visit to Paxos

CORFU. Neurological and Midwifery health services on Friday and Saturday.
Following many requests from people with national health insurance and recognising the need for border and remote areas to receive health services, Corfu Health Centre Coordinator Sofia Kavvadia Mavropoulou decided in collaboration with the Paxos Health Centre Coordinator Michalis Kantas for medical personnel to pay a two-day visit to Paxos island on Friday 23/7 and Saturday 24/7.
The specialists that will be participate this weekend are neurologist Evangelia Mavroforou Paschalidis to provide medical services to people with chronic neurological conditions and midwife Irene Yiourga, to take smears for PAP tests from the island’s women - health services for which both residents of Paxos and tourists normally have to travel to Corfu.
The Health Centre Coordinator stated in her announcement “Being aware of the responsibility that we have but also because of our professionalism, we are pleased to inform you that Corfu Health Centre, with the support of the 6th Health Region, will
continue and expand its health service activities, wherever there are shortages and difficulties regarding health issues and wherever we are able to offer help for everyone’s common good.”
