΄Mantzaros΄ Philharmonic Society concert at Old Palace on Monday 21 June

CORFU. On the initiative of conductor Socrates Anthis, ΄Mantzaros΄ Philharmonic Society established the celebration of World Music Day in Corfu in 2014.

'Mantzaros' Philharmonic Society will once again this year be celebrating World Music Day on 21 June.

The Society will be putting on a concert, with conductor Socrates Anthis, in the Colonnade of the St. Michael & St. George Palace at 20:30 on Monday 21 June, performing works by Bizet, Mantzaros, Contran Tampe, Ferdinand Herold, Dimitri Shostakovich, Jan Ban der Roost, Elton John, Leonard Bernstein and Nikos Farougias.

On the initiative of conductor Socrates Anthis, ΄Mantzaros΄ Philharmonic Society established the celebration of World Music Day (established internationally in 1982) in Corfu in 2014 and has been celebrating it every year since then.

The concert will have a seated audience of 100 and the Society invites all those who so wish to come and enjoy a wonderful evening celebrating music, which plays such an important role in Corfu.

All the necessary health protocols will be observed at the concert.
