CORFU. A team from EODY visited ΄Melissa΄ Special Needs Care Centre on Friday 9 April to vaccinate the children, staff and board members.

The Special Needs Parents & Guardians Association said, "Following the prioritisation of vaccinations for those in special needs facilities, the Association feels great relief as it has a huge responsibility for the functioning of Melissa. The priorities are safety, pleasure, constructive care and education of the children with serious and multiple disabilities and Covid-19 tracing is ongoing with weekly rapid tests.

We would like to give warm thanks to the presidents of the National Confederation of those with Special Needs Ioannis Vardakastanis and Yiannis Moscholios for their efforts to prioritise vaccinations at special needs facilities and distribution of rapid tests, Deputy Minister for Social Welfare Domna Michailidou for her immediate response to the requests and to Corfu EODY for its full cooperation and support to administer vaccinations and conduct rapid tests at this difficult time."
