Agios Athanasios Health Centre to operate as vaccination centre

Members of the public can book vaccination appointments at Agios Athanasios Health Centre via the online platform.

North Corfu Mayor Giorgos Mahimaris issued a press release stating that the Health Centre will start operating as a vaccination centre following his request and "the immediate response from Civil Protection Minister Michalis Chrisohoidis" along with efforts from Corfu ND MP Stefanos Gikas.

Statement from the Mayor:

" Following the request from North Corfu Mayor Giorgos Mahimaris that Agioa Athanasios Health Centre become a vaccination centre for North Corfu and the continuing efforts of Corfu MP Stefanos Gikas, the personal committment from Civil Protection Minister Michalis Chrisohoidis on his recent visit to Corfu is being fulfilled.

The operation of the Agios Athanasios Health Centre as a vaccination centre in the next few days along with Agios Markos Health Centre will contribute to quick and smooth access to vaccinations for residents close to their homes.

Mr. Mahimaris said, "Step by step, we are getting closer to our goal of returning to 'normality' through the vaccination programme.
