ATHENS. EODY announced 2,702 confirmed new cases on Wednesday 3 March including 5 new cases in Corfu.
EODY announced that there were 2,702 confirmed new cases today. 20 of the cases were detected at entry points.
The total number of cases in Greece is now 197,279, of which 51.7% are males. Over the last 7 days 63 of the cases are connected to arrivals from abroad and 2,419 are connected with known cases.
The R number is estimated at 0.98.
There were 40 deaths today taking the total number of fatalities to 6,597. 95.7% of these had underlying health conditions or were over 70.
431 patients are intubated in ICUs.The average age is 68 and 84.9% have underlying health conditions or are over 70. 1,376 patients have been discharged from ICUs
The number of new hospital admissions is 394 (+ 36.33%) and the average number of admissions throughout the country over the last 7 days is 304.
