IOANNINA. The Greek Government is taking stricter measures at Kakavia land entry point in an effort to provide more protection at the border.
From Monday the border control will operate from 07:00 to 19:00 instead of 23:00 which was the case up to now.
The number of people coming into the country will also be limited with a maximum of 400 a day instead of 700 as was previously the case. Rapid tests will be conducted on everyone including lorry drivers.
Those who test positive will not be allowed into the country and those who do enter, without exception, will have to stay in isolation for 14 days instead of 7 days.
