ATHENS. EODY announced 716 confirmed new cases and 18 deaths on Thursday 28 January including 1 new case in Corfu.
EODY announced that there were 716 confirmed new cases today. 7 of the cases were detected at entry points.
The total number of cases in Greece is now 154,796, of which 52.1% are males. 5,904 (3.8%) of the cases are connected to arrivals from abroad and 48,259 (62.8%) are connected with known cases.
268 patients - 74 female, 194 male - are intubated in ICUs. The average age is 68 and 86.2% have underlying health conditions or are over 70. 1,095 patients have been discharged from ICUs
There were 18 deaths today taking the total number of fatalities to 5,742. 3,374 (58.8%) were males and the average age was 79. 95.5% had underlying health conditions or were over 70.
