ATHENS. EODY announced 816 confirmed new cases and 48 deaths on Wednesday 6 January but no new cases in Corfu.
EODY announced that there were 816 confirmed new cases today. 24 of the cases were detected at entry points.
The total number of cases in Greece is now 142,267, of which 52.3% are males. 5,547 (3.9%) of the cases are connected to arrivals from abroad and 42,716 (30%) are connected with known cases.
399 patients - 129 female, 270 male - are intubated in ICUs. The average age is 68 and 82.7% have underlying health conditions or are over 70. 912 patients have been discharged from ICUs
There were 48 deaths today taking the total number of fatalities to 5,099. 3,023 (59.3%) were males and the average age was 79. 95.5% had underlying health conditions or were over 70.
