ATHENS. EODY announced 928 confirmed new cases and 40 deaths on Tuesday 5 January including 9 new cases in Corfu.
EODY announced that there were 928 confirmed new cases today. 31 of the cases were detected at entry points.
The total number of cases in Greece is now 141,453, of which 52.3% are males. 5,517 (3.9%) of the cases are connected to arrivals from abroad and 42,416 (30%) are connected with known cases.
405 patients - 135 female, 270 male - are intubated in ICUs. The average age is 68 and 83.5% have underlying health conditions or are over 70. 907 patients have been discharged from ICUs
There were 40 deaths today taking the total number of fatalities to 5,051. 2,999 (59.4%) were males and the average age was 79. 95.4% had underlying health conditions or were over 70.
