ATHENS. Return to measures that were in place before the festive period. Curfew once again 21:00 - 05:00.

Government spokesperson Stelios Petsas announced that until 11 January the restrictive measures will be stricter.

Hair salons are closing again as well as book shops and the shops that operate with click away. The curfew is also returning to the hours that were previously in place, 21:00 - 05:00, except for work or health reasons.

As things stand at the moment, schools will open on 11 January and the aim is for both primary and secondary to open.

Stelios Petsas said that the decision to have stricter measures for 3 - 10 January was taken for precautionary reasons for epidemiological conditions not to worsen following the relative relaxation for the festive period.

From 11 January, along with the reopening of schools the click away system will also recommence as well as hair and manicure salons, KTEO, hunting and fishing under the conditions in place during the festive period.

As regards the churches, Epiphany services will be conducted by priests inside the churches but without attendees. After 11 January people will be able to attend Sunday services again but with the same restrictive measures in place for Christmas and New Year.

At the end of the second week in January the epidemiological situation in the country will be evaluated and based on this announcements will be made regarding social and economic activities.
