ATHENS. EODY announced 873 confirmed new cases and 55 deaths on Thursday 24 December. 5 confirmed new cases in Corfu.
EODY announced that there were 873 confirmed new cases today. 6 of the cases were detected at entry points.
The total number of cases in Greece is now 134,235, of which 52.4% are males. 5,284 (3.9%) of the cases are connected to arrivals from abroad and 39,565 (29.5%) are connected with known cases.
476 patients - 155 female, 321 male - are intubated in ICUs. The average age is 68 and 79.8% have underlying health conditions or are over 70. 845 patients have been discharged from ICUs
There were 55 deaths today taking the total number of fatalities to 4,457. 1,798 (40.3%) were females and the average age was 79. 95.5% had underlying health conditions or were over 70.
