ATHENS. EODY announced 588 confirmed new cases and 70 deaths on Sunday 20 December.
EODY announced that there were 588 confirmed new cases today. 11 of the cases were detected at entry points.
The total number of cases in Greece is now 131,072, of which 52.5% are males. 5,211 (4%) of the cases are connected to arrivals from abroad and 38,349 (29.3%) are connected with known cases.
515 patients - 165 female, 350 male - are intubated in ICUs. The average age is 67 and 77.1% have underlying health conditions or are over 70. 800 patients have been discharged from ICUs
There were 70 deaths today taking the total number of fatalities to 4,172. 1,682 (40.3%) were females and the average age was 79. 95.7% had underlying health conditions or were over 70.
