ATHENS. EODY announced 508 confirmed new cases and 8 deaths on Friday 16 October.
EODY announced that there were 508 confirmed new cases today. 64 of the cases are connected with known clusters and 12 were detected at entry points.
The total number of cases in Greece is now 24,450, of which 55.6% are males. 3,454 (14.1%) of the cases are connected to arrivals from abroad and 9,893 (40.5%) are connected with known cases.
81 patients - 24 female, 57 male - are intubated in ICUs. The average age is 67 and 95.1% have underlying health conditions or are over 70. 255 patients have been discharged from ICUs
There were 8 deaths today taking the total number of fatalities to 490. 184 (37.6%) were females and the average age was 79. 96.3% had underlying health conditions or were over 70.
