EODY: 358 new cases of coronavirus in Greece today - none in Corfu

ATHENS. EODY announced that there were 358 confirmed new cases on Wednesday 23 September.

EODY announced that there were 358 confirmed new cases today. 58 of the cases are connected with known clusters and 43 were detected at entry points.

The total number of cases in Greece is now 16,286, of which 55.8% are males. 2,696 (16.6%) of the cases are connected to arrivals from abroad and 6,808 (41.8%) are from contacts with known cases.

73 patients - 20 female, 53 male - are intubated in ICUs. The average age is 68 and 89% have underlying health conditions or are over 70. 191 patients have been discharged from ICUs

There were 5 deaths today taking the total number of fatalities to 357. 132 (37%) were females and the average age was 78. 96.9% had underlying health conditions or were over 70.

The 358 new cases today are broken down as follows:

43 from checks at entry points
3 arrivals who volunteered to be tested
194 in Attica - 15 of which were connected with known clusters and 5 with recent travel in Greece
10 in Thessaloniki
17 in Lesvos - 16 of which were connected with the migrant camp
17 in Samos - 16 of which were connected with the migrant camp
13 in Trikala - 6 connected with known clusters
7 in Larissa
7 in Pellas - 1 connected with a known cluster
4 in Argolida
4 in Achaia
4 in Heraklion
3 in Karditsa
2 in Lakonia - connected with a known cluster
2 in Aitoloakarnania
2 in Ioannina
2 in Kastoria
1 in Grevena
1 in Imathia
1 in Kea-Kythnos
1 in Lefkada
1 in Magnesia
1 in Xanthi
1 in Pieria
