ATHENS. EODY announced 269 new confirmed cases on Tuesday 18 August, of which 39 were detected at entry points.
EODY announced 269 new confirmed cases today, of which 39 were detected at entry points. The total number of cases in Greece is now 7,472, of which 55.3% are males. 1,742 (23.3%) of the cases are connected to arrivals from abroad and 3,516 (47.1%) are from contacts with known cases.
25 patients - 7 female, 18 male - are intubated in ICUs. The average age is 67 and 52% have underlying health conditions or are over 70. 137 patients have been discharged from ICUs
There were 2 deaths today, taking the total number of fatalities to 232. 82 (35.3%) were females and the average age was 77. 95.3% had underlying health conditions or were over 70.
