ATHENS. EODY announced 262 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 on Wednesday 12 August and 2 deaths.
EODY announced 262 new confirmed cases of SARS-CoV-2 , of which 22 were detected at entry points. The total number of cases in Greece is now 6,177, of which 54.8% are males. 1,528 (24.7%) of the cases are connected to arrivals from abroad and 3,002 (48.6%) are from contacts with known cases.
24 patients - 8 female, 16 male - are intubated in ICUs. The average age is 63 and 54.2% have underlying health conditions or are over 70. 132 patients have been discharged from ICUs
There were 2 deaths today, taking the total number of fatalities to 216. 73 (33.8%) were females and the average age was 76. 95.8% had underlying health conditions or were over 70.
