ATHENS. Tsiodras and Hardalias are ΄appearing together΄ again at 18:00 on Tuesday 4 August to give an update on the pandemic in Greece.

There will be a special update on the latest situation with the coronavirus pandemic in Greece at 18:00 today, Tuesday 4 august.

The update will be given by Civil Protection Deputy Minister Nikos Hardalias and Ministry of Health COVID-19 representative Prof. Sotiris Tsiodras, who is making an appearance again after a considerable amount of time.

At the last public appearance of Sotiris Tsiodras at an official update his 'partner' Nikos Hardalias said something - which may or may not mean something...

"If you see the two of us together again, then you should be worried.." he said at the final public update with the two of them in May.

So tonight's 'reunion' of Tsiodras and Hardalias may be an indication of the Government's awareness of the situation and an effort to avoid a possible big spike of cases in Greece.

The fact that despite the opening of the borders and the restart of tourism the situation in Greece hasn't got out of hand (Mr. Hardalias recently said that EODY knows the exact details of all the cases in Greece and where they came from) shouldn't, however, lead to complacency and relaxation.

So it shouldn't seem strange that the Government wants to remind everyone of the danger that exists as we move into the 'heart' of the 2020 tourist season so that the worst-case scenario can be avoided.
