Local ND Organisation DEEP donates 53 bags of foodstuffs to ΄Smile of the Child΄

The local Nea Dimokratia organisation DEEP conducted a campaign to collect food and basic necessities for the 'Smile of a Child' charity. This afternoon DEEP President Yiannis Kontos and Head of the DEEP Women's Section Anna Goussi met with a team from 'Smile of the Child' led by social worker Maria Griva and handed over the donations that had been collected (53 bags of foodstuffs, 25kg flour, 2 boxes of juices, 1 box of croissants and 1 box of cakes) for the local facilities. The charity team thanked them for the donations.

DEEP issued a statement saying, "People's response to this campaign was much greater than we had expected and we would like to give warm thanks to all those who donated. Voluntary welfare work is extremely important at this time and for this reason we will be organising other such projects and initiatives very soon."
