CORFU. According to legal sources in Corfu, he has been charged with attempted blackmail following the evidence of marked banknotes found by police.
An accountant from a Corfu food company will appear before the Corfu Prosecutor today Wednesday who has been accused of blackmail by the company.
The business owner reported him to the police and the accountant was then watched and finally arrested on Tuesday. According to legal sources in Corfu, he was charged with attempted blackmail after the police found the evidence of marked banknotes. The accountant is alleged to have asked for money in order not to reveal company information.
If the charges are upheld, it will be considered a felony.
