CORFU. Teachers΄ unions and the Corfu Union of Parents & Guardians Associations protested against the Ministry of Education΄s multi-bill and the amendment to have cameras in classrooms.
Corfu teachers took to the streets once again to protest against the Ministry of Education's Bill.
Today, Tuesday 19 May, Corfu teachers' unions held a symbolic protest in Georgaki Square, placing desks and computers in the pedestrian precinct. The Corfu Union of Parents & Guardians Associations also took part.
The academic community is protesting not only against the multi-bill, which, according to Corfu union president Achilleas Kapetanios, will destroy public education in Greece, but also against the amendment authorising the use of cameras in classrooms for livestreaming of lessons.
