Extensive disinfection programme in North Corfu

CORFU. Over the weekend the North Corfu Municipality disinfected 2,985sq.m. in Municipal buildings and 21 Municipal vehicles.
On 4 and 5 April the North Corfu local authority disinfected the Municipal building in Acharavi, all the buildings with Municipal services, rural surgeries, community offices, public areas and other Municipal services.
The disinfection was carried out by certified teams with special equipment (clothing and masks) following all the proper procedures regarding the coronavirus pandemic.
In order to protect public health - both for its employees and members of the public who pay controlled visits to the Municipal services if they cannot be served by phone, e-mail or fax - 2,985 sq.m. were disinfected along with 13 Cleansing Service vehicles, 1 Senior Citizens Daycare Centre vehicle, 5 Help at Home vehicles and 2 North Corfu Police vehicles.
Disinfection will also be carried in buildings not operational at the moment due to the crisis (schools etc.).
The North Corfu Municipality is rigorously following the guidelines of the State, the responsible Ministries and the National Public Health Organisation and taking all the necessary measures to protect members of the public and employees.
The measures are both for preventative purposes and also to reduce any possible impact on the health and lives of the public. They are being constantly supervised to ensure that they are being adhered to properly.
The Municipality is also providing regular updates for the public regarding the measures being taken for the protection of their health and is making every possible effort to serve them.
This is a critical time for our community and calm, sobriety and solidarity is required from all of us.
The Civil Protection Service and Help at Home continue to operate on a 24-hour basis and they can be contacted at 26633 60112 (Monday - Saturday, 08:00 - 20:00).
