North Corfu Mayor Mahimaris thanks the Central Corfu Municipal Council for its support regarding Erimitis

Statement from Giorgos Mahimaris:

"Following the clear position expressed by the following: 1) the majority of the party leaders in the Central Corfu & Diapontia Islands Municipality regarding the protection of Erimitis - Ioannis Trepeklis, Giorgos Kaloudis, Chrysanthos Sarlis, Spyros Neratzis, Ioannis Borbotis, Maria Dri, Eleftherios Markatis, Giorgos Karydis 2) Spyridona Rigga 3) the Central Corfu & Diapontia Islands Municipal Councillors 4) Haralambos Haralambous, Vera Koronaki 5) Socrates Trifonas, Konstantinos Roussinos 6) Dimitris Fatiras 7) Jenny Skembri and the decision taken to validate the decisions of the previous local authority councils, I would like to express my thanks to all those who contributed to the final decision as well as those who support the protection of Erimitis.

We take it for granted that the Central Corfu & Diapontia Islands Mayor Meropi Ydraiou, Council President Dimitris Metallinos, all bodies and organisations, groups and Corfu society will stand by the people of North Corfu. The efforts will continue until we finally get justice for the environment, society and the economy of Corfu.

Erimitis belongs to all of us and it belongs to the coming generations."
