Dispute about illegal parking of Municipal vehicle ended up at the police station

A simple job for the Municipal services of decorating San Rocco Square with flowers led to a misunderstanding and dispute which ended up at the police station. When a Municipal vehicle parked on the pavement to unload flowers to be planted a police officer came along and told them to remove the vehicle. There was a lengthy exchange with tempers rising and, according to witnesses, the Municipal driver got into the police car, which then drove off to the station.

At the station there were explanations given by both sides and the matter was considered to be over, both police and the Municipality told Enimerosi.
