CORFU. High hopes as Ydraiou, Lessis, Mahimaris, Trepeklis and Sarlis form a ΄task force΄ in the new Solid Waste Management Organisation (FoDSA).
Corfu is getting ready to line up its 'heavy artillery' against the refuse problem now that it seems we are coming into the home straight.
A Solid Waste Management Organisation (FoDSA) for Corfu has been set up which will play a major role in solving the chronic waste problem now that it seems that a high level of funding will be required by the local authority to properly manage the issue.
The Mayor of Central Corfu & Diapontia Islands Meropi Ydraiou is determined to bring the matter to a successful conclusion with the cooperation of a strong and experienced team!
Corfu is lining up its heavy artillery with five Mayors, past and present, on the Board of the newly-established FoDSA - Ms Ydraiou, Giorgos Mahimaris and Kostas Lessis, present Mayors of Central, North and South Corfu, along with two 'heavy duty' former Mayors Yiannis Trepeklis and Chrysanthos Sarlis who bring their own extensive experience and capabilities.
