CORFU. Over 80 mothers took part in the National Simultaneous Public Breastfeeding at the Municipal Theatre to support the view that breastfeeding is a natural right for baby and mother.
Despite the fact that the weather conditions weren't ideal - which led to a change in venue - the National Simultaneous Public Breastfeeding event in Corfu was a success once again this year.
Over 80 mothers took part to support the view that breastfeeding is a natural right for baby and mother and not something to be ashamed of.
This is the 10th year of the national campaign - the 7th for Corfu - with 50 towns throughout the country taking part. It was originally planned to take place in the Old Town Hall Square but, due to the rain it was moved to the foyer of the Municipal Theatre.
The event is organised by the voluntary breastfeeding and motherhood team.
