Climate change: Pupils at Afra Primary School demonstrate!

This week school pupils around the world are demonstrating about the climate change crisis to coincide with the UN Summit Meeting for climate change in New York. Pupils at Afra Primary School also took part - to raise the awareness of pupils, parents, the local community and other organisations. "Enough is enough," they said. "The planet is ill!"

After getting information from their teachers the pupils were inspired to write a poem about the Earth and make placards and banners with slogans about saving the Earth and rescuing the environment and the Earth from the climate change crisis. With the slogan "All Together to Save the Earth" they walked through the village demonstrating for a clean planet. 

They carried placards with: "Think Globally, Act Locally", All Together to Save the Earth", "We only have one planet", "Save the Planet", "The planet is in our hands", Stop cutting down trees", "We are missing our lessons to teach you one", "Stop the fires" etc.

The pupils' action today was part of the global school pupils' movement 'Fridays For Future', which is protesting against the lack of action against the climate crisis.
