Chamber of Commerce supports volunteers at Green Spots

CORFU. The former and present Deputy Mayors for Cleansing, Corfu Chamber of Commerce and Spyros Neratzis in close cooperation to support the recycling initiatives throughout the island.
On Wednesday evening Corfu Chamber of Commerce donated construction sacks to the Recycling Centres (Green Spots). They donated what the Centres are in most urgent need of - regular construction sacks to transport the recyclable materials.
The main speaker at yesterday's event was Spyros Neratzis, whose appointment as volunteer representative is expected to be announced officially in the coming few days. The donation of 170 construction sacks was also a symbolic gesture aimed at raising the public's awareness and encouraging them to help. The cost of each sack is - 5€ - is very small for each individual but the benefit to the community as a whole and the environment is huge!
Attending the meeting were the former Deputy Mayor for Cleansing Spyros Kaloudis along with his successor in the new local authority Yiannis Seremetis, who will soon be taking over the responsibility for Cleansing. Also present were the President and General Secretary of the Chamber Giorgos Hondroyiannis and Vassilis Vassilakis and others.
