There was no decrease in July arrivals in the Ionian Islands says Deputy Regional Governor for Tourism

ARGOSTOLI. Deputy Regional Governor Spyros Galiatsatos said that according to Fraport statistics international arrivals in the Ionian Islands were approximately the same as last year.
In Corfu the number of international arrivals was 318,051 compared to 330,765 last July (-3.8%). In Aktion 75,279 compared to 71,302 (+5.6%). In Cephalonia the number was 76,970 compared to 73,549 (+2.6%) and in Zakynthos 204,151 compared to 199,033 (+2.6%).
So in July the total number of international arrivals was 674,451 compared to 674,649 in the same month last year - a decrease of 198 passengers.
Over the first seven months of 2019 the number of international arrivals has been 1,663,019 compared to 1,666,304 last year - a decrease of 0.2%.
It is expected that over the next two months, August and Spetember, this slight decrease will be reversed and this year's tourist season will show an increase again.
So in July the total number of international arrivals was 674,451 compared to 674,649 in the same month last year - a decrease of 198 passengers.
