CORFU. The voluntary Green Spots are continuing their appeal for construction sacks to collect and transport recyclable materials.

Despite the tremendous response from organisations, businesses and individuals there is still a great need for construction sacks as this is the busiest time of the year.

The Corfu Green Spots would like to thank the following people and businesses for their generous response to our appeal:

Audrius Kembre: 250 sacks
Corfu Owners Association: 50 sacks
Ian, Sinies: 20 sacks
Marios Salvanos, Perithia: 4 sacks
Taverna Old Perithia: 4 sacks
Salty Bag Company, Garitsa: 25 sacks
Anonymous, Messonghi : 1 sack
Julie Tiley/Sandra Hellowell, Gianades: 2 sacks
Dianne, Doukades: 5 sacks
Friends of Corfu: 11 sacks
Dave’s Proper Pies: 12 sacks
Costas Steak House, Liapades: 4 sacks

The Green Spots receive no financial support and operate 91 sessions per week recycling plastic, paper, metal and glass. These materials are collected and transported in white construction sacks.

Due to the high volumes of recycling being generated, the Green Spots are desperately short of these sacks. If any business or organisation would like to assist the Green Spots with a donation of sacks, please take them to the nearest Green Spot (can be located using www.recyclecorfu.com) or contact the Facebook Group Lets do this,Corfu at their email address [email protected]

Without these sacks the Green Spots cannot operate properly - so any donations of sacks would be gratefully received or even a small donation of
€5 or more, whic is the cost of these sacks.
