CORFU. The band will take part in the Greek Diaspora celebrations for Independence Day.
The famous Corfu 'Old' Philharmonic Society will be taking part in the diaspora celebrations for Greek Independence Day. The Band, which has been invited by the Ionian Cultural Federation, will travel to the Big Apple for six days.
Last March the 'Mantzaros' Philharmonic Band travelled to New York for this year's celebrations - promoting the unique Corfu philharmonic societies on the other side of the world, just as the 'Old' Society is expected to do next year.
