The Ionian Islands are being promoted through videos and posters in the heart of New York, in the iconic Times Square, as part of the Ionian Islands Region’s strategic tourism promotion campaign in New York, ahead of the International Tourism Fair to be held in Manhattan.
As in previous years, the Ionian Islands Region will have its own pavilion at the exhibition. The region is represented by Deputy Regional Governor for Entrepreneurship and the Greek Diaspora, Eleni Papanastatou, and Deputy Regional Governor for Small Islands and Interregional Transport, Spiros Argyros.
The pavilion focuses on the region’s natural wealth, culture, and in particular its distinctive Ionian gastronomy. This participation is regarded as a decisive step toward strengthening the region’s presence in the American market.
