΄All Together for Corfu΄: Recycling of clothing this morning

CORFU. ΄All Together for Corfu΄, with Spyros Neratzis, is continuing its voluntary activities in an effort to develop the culture of recycling.
'All Together for Corfu' was at Pentofanaro on Saturday to show people and disseminate information about another kind of recycling - clothing. Together with RECYCOM - the Greek Company for Recycling Clothes and Shoes - they held their first recycling event in Corfu Town for clothing and shoes.
The event was organised in collaboration with the following:
- Municipality of Corfu
- Corfu, Paxos and Diapontia Islands Metropolis
- Catholic Archbishopric of Corfu, Zakynthos and Cephalonia
- Hellenic Red Cross
- Corfu Scouts
- Social Cooperative Enterprise 'New Horizons' - Corfu Community Shop
There was a special red recycling bin and members of the public were able to learn how to use it easily. There was also information about how to recycle clothes via the aforementioned bodies and RECYCOM.
The following clean items that are no longer needed can be recycled:
- Men's, women's and children's clothing and pairs of shoes.
- White items such as pillow cases, sheets etc.
- Bags and belts.
