CORFU. Corfu Municipality and Corfu Chamber of Commerce are for the second year running taking part with their own stand at the largest (in numbers of visitors) tourism fair.
Berlin ITB Travel Trade Show is taking place from 6 to 10 March.
The Corfu stand, which is well located opposite the main Greek National Tourism Organization stand, received favourable comments and has several tourism professionals amongst those staffing it.
Corfu representatives at the stand are having direct meetings with other tourism professionals and in interviews with the German media the Mayor talked extensively about Corfu's tourism product, highlighting all the advantages and special features.
According to the tourism professionals, there hasn't been a decrease in bookings compared to last year but there isn't an increase either - last year was a record year for the whole of Greece. There are, however, fewer bookings for May and October.
Representing the Municipality at the Show are Mayor Kostas Nikolouzos and Deputy Mayor for Tourism Vassilis Kavadias. Representing the Chamber of Commerce are the Vice-President Nikos Hirdaris, President of AOCTA and the Tourism Department at the Chamber Vassilis Kaloudis Vice-President Angeliki Skolariki.
