΄Mantzaros΄ Philharmonic Band: Concert at Municipal Theatre

CORFU. The concert will take place at the Municipal Theatre on Saturday 16 February at 20:30.
The concert will include works performed for the first time in Corfu, and one of these for the first time in Greece. The band will be conducted by Socrates Anthis and accompanied by two leading soloists.
In the Concerto for cello and wind instruments by Friedrich Gulda (1930-2000) the soloist will be the leading Corfu cellist from the Greek National Opera Nikos Prevezianos.
For the well-known Rhapsody in Blue by George Gershwin (adapted for bands by Tohru Takahashi) the soloist will be the Japanese pianist Rie Shimada.
