Corfu Mayor: "The proposal from a member of the public for converting waste into energy was just informatory"

CORFU. Kostas Nikolouzos provides clarification regarding posts on the internet.
In response to a post on the internet regarding the proposal of an individual titled "Proposal for the conversion of waste into energy, on behalf of the Mayor of Corfu Konstantinos Nikolouzos for the Municipality of Corfu" the Mayor gave the following clarification:
"The proposal from Mr. Gareth Morgan is one of the proposals that have come to our attention regarding the processing of waste. The discussion we had, initiated by Mr. Morgan, was informatory.
In the matter of waste management the Municipality operates within the framework defined by the National and Regional Waste Management Plan (PESDA) and the existing legislation and we are already at the stage of approving studies for the construction of an Integrated Waste Management Unit with funds from the Business Programme: Infrastructure for Transport , the Environment and Sustainable Development (EP YMPERAA)."
