The managing director of the investing company NCH Capital Andreas Santis made insinuations about the attitude of Kostas Nikolouzos towards the investment in Erimitis.
NCH Capital held a press conference with the Athens media on Saturday morning in a Corfu hotel regarding the planned investment in the Erimitis area in Kassiopi.
The managing director Andreas Santis talked about the legal disputes that are delaying the investment: "We didn't initiate this project, we responded to an invitation from the Greek State at a time when most investors - reek or foreign - are turning their backs on Greece. If this is the attitude that a foreign investor comes up against in Greece, then I have to question why we are chasing investors when we can't protect the ones we already have."
When questioned, Mr. Santis talked about the attitude of the Ionian Islands Regional Administration and the Corfu Mayor as well as the reactions to the project that there have been from time to time and pointed out that the Region, the Municipality and some small public groups (NB 6 people) "have taken the project to court 11 times and we won all 11 times..."
According to the article in news247.gr, Mr. Santis made insinuations about the attitude of the Mayor: "Unfortunately, one thing is said with the Mayor in person and another in public".
On the same day that the investing company was holding the press conference with the Athens media the local media published an article by Mayor Kostas Nikolouzos about the investment in Erimitis "Never-ending fairy tale". It should be noted that the Regional Governor holds a different attitude towards the investment according to his recent statements in Protagon.gr
Sponsorship of Phaeces basketball team
On Saturday evening the Phaeces team displayed their new strips with NCH Capital as sponsors. Andreas Santis preferred to have 'Stop bullying' on the shirts rather than the company logo - hinting at the delays in proceeding with the investment in Corfu.
