Lefkimmi Cultural Society invites everyone to a recycling meeting

Lefkimmi Cultural Society invites all South Corfu organizations to a presentation on the importance of recycling. Partners in this initiative to set up Recycling Points throughout the island are the Alternative Workshop and All Together for Corfu and representatives from Temploni Cultural Society will also be present at the meeting.

Dear representatives of South Corfu cultural, sports and dance societies,

As you all know the island's waste problem has had adverse consequences on our community and our lives. It is absolutely necessary that we take the situation with the waste into our own hands, showing all those who are damaging public health that if it is managed properly not only will there be no danger but there will be many benefits. We have to take on this responsibility in order to show the young generation that there are many ways of fighting battles in life.

We invite all the representatives from your societies and organizations to a presentation and discussion about recycling at Lefkimmi Cultural Society's office on Wednesday 3 October at 19:30. This meeting is part of an island-wide effort by various individual organizations. The presentation will be given by Victoras Dimoulis and representatives from Temploni Cultural Society will also be present.

Please consider your presence to be essential as things have gone too far! We all need to take action to ensure proper recycling, reduction of waste and a healthy environment.
