Chance for families in Corfu to ΄adopt΄ a child from ΄The Smile of the Child΄ for a short time

From 2015 to 2017 a total of 648 adults and children took part in the project, giving valuable assistance to the organization's work. Families (adults and children over 7) can apply to take part and offer a few hours of their time to help the organization which supports children and families that live in or are threatened by poverty.

The work of volunteers at the Children & Family Support Centres plays an extremely important role - they are responsible for sorting all the items collected and organizing and preparing all the packages with food and other items to be given to the families in need.

From 8 to 13 October at specific times families can participate in this project to assist the work of The Smile of the Child with the children it supports and become members of the organization's extended family. The Child & Family Support Centres in the following areas are participating: Athens (Maroussi, Nea Makri, Ilion), Thessaloniki, Kavala, Patra, Pirgos, Larissa, Crete (Heraklion, Chania), Halkida, Corfu, Tripoli and Corinth.
