CORFU. Tensions ran high in Lefkimmi on Monday afternoon when residents stopped lorries that were going to Mesorahi.
There were recriminations between the residents and the drivers and they ended up at Lefkimmi police station where, according to verified information, each side pressed charges.
Residents remained gathered outside the police station afterwards maintaining that the lorries are carrying aggregates to the SYDISA facility. They also complained that they were threatened.
