Ionian Islands: Zakynthos top of the list for arrests in July

CORFU. There were 620 arrests in the Ionian Islands and 161 cases were solved regarding robbery, theft, burglary, possession and trafficking of drugs and other crimes.
As part of its policy of keeping the public informed of the results of its fight against crime The Ionian Islands Police Administration has published the figures for arrests and crimes solved in Corfu, Zakynthos, Cephalonia and Lefkada for the month of July.
1. There was a total of 620 arrests - 192 in Corfu, 208 in Zakynthos, 139 in Cephalonia and 81 in Kefkada. Of these 2 were for robbery, 25 for theft and burglary, 59 for possession and trafficking of drugs and 46 were arrests of illegal immigrants.
2. 161 cases were solved:
- 1 robbery
- 29 thefts and burglaries
- 49 possession and trafficking of drugs
- 82 other crimes
