CORFU. Due to the charged atmosphere at the meeting, the Council President Maria Mouzakiti was forced to call a halt to proceedings amidst "smoke and shouting". The police didn΄t intervene but the town councillors left.

Members of Temploni Cultural Society were also present att the meeting and they told Enimerosi that this "latest habit" of interrupting Town Council meetings prevents important issues, including waste management, from being properly discussed.
