΄All Together for Corfu΄ clean-up in the Old Town on Sunday

For the third year running the voluntary group 'All Together for Corfu' will be cleaning up the Old Town.

Call to action

Clean-up in Corfu Old Town on Sunday 5th August. We are proud to show off our town to visitors every year, especially in the high tourist season in August. But we, as residents, must be able to enjoy it ourselves. So the idea of 'Let's clean it up then' came from Spyros Lamakia and Lakis Vrahliotis, members of the voluntary group 'All Together for Corfu.

We quickly and simply decided that on Sunday 5th August from 05:30-06:00 to 11:00 we will clean up the Old Town with the aid of cleaning equipment. We don't claim that the problem will be solved with one clean-up, but it is a start and a functional and enjoyable project which may encourage other members of the public to contribute to improving the quality of life for all of us.

The project will be carried out with the cooperation of the Municipality and support from the following:

- Corfu Chamber of Commerce
- Corfu Federation of Manufacturers & Businessmen
- Business Association
- Association of Restaurateurs & Related Professions
- Corfu Hoteliers' Association
- Corfu Federation of Tourist Accommodation Owners
- Association of Corfu Travel Agents

We undertook similar projects in 2016 and 2017 at the same time of year and with the same support. This year we have a few more supporters and hope to have even more next year.
