LEFKIMMI. Local residents have gathered on the access road to the Lefkimmi landfill facility on stand-by and ΄keeping their powder dry΄. Access has been blocked with lorry tyres.
According to information, access has been denied to a Power Supply Company (DEDDIE) vehicle and to a lorry with gravel to lay on the road. The police are maintaining a discreet presence, as we have been told, and it hasn't been necessary for them to intervene at all.
