CORFU. The Fire Service was called out at 17:45 on Monday evening to a fire in Peroulades, North Corfu.
The fire broke out in land with olive trees and then spread to fields with tall canes and grass. 8 fire engines and 13 firemen and volunteers fought to put out the fire.
By 22:15 the fire was mostly under control but the Fire Service remained in the area. Up until that time it is estimated that about 15 stremma were burnt.
