The 'Alexandros Mastoras' General Clinic made an important donation to the Corfu Fire Service.

It is a specially designed stretcher suitable for both sea and land for the transfer of patients with multiple injuries. Very often human lives literally depend on the paramedics and must be safely transferred to the nearest place where an ambulance can reach.

The Corfu Fire Chief Nikos Kolovos accepted the donation, stressing how important it is, as the paramedics are playing a crucial role for the service, especially in particularly difficult cases.

Mrs. Mastora stated the following: "For many years, the founder of the 'Alexandros Mastoras' Clinic taught us its social role in contributing to the Corfu society. All of us are continuing this social role to this day. It is a great pleasure and honour for me today to represent the Clinic and I am pleased to hand over the specially designed stretcher.

This is why we are all here today - to honour the services of the Fire Service and its people. Please accept our offer to continue your work, to continue to save lives, to continue to offer to the Corfu community.

A big thank you, a big bravo to you for your great selfless contribution, for your active and successful assistance wherever it is needed. We as a General Clinic will always be by your side".

At the end, Mr. Kolovos honoured the representatives of the Clinic with honorary plaques and the jockey hat with the Fire Service's logo.
