Third day of clean-up work on Sotiriotisa seafront….but not ‘All Together’!
CORFU. The effort to make this section of Eth. Palaiokastritsa Rd. respectable again continues.
Perhaps the title ‘The Magnificent Eleven’ would suit the team of volunteers who took the initiative to clean up the wild vegetation and rubbish at Sotiriotisa between Alykes – Ag. Katerini and the start of Kontokali.
The volunteers from ‘All Together for Corfu’, with Spyros Nerantzis as coordinator and partnered by some members of Potamos Cultural Society, continued their work on the seafront – which has possibly never been cleaned - for the third day yesterday. Already the difference is impressive, as is the volume of rubbish that had gathered there over the last few years.
However, what was perhaps most noticeable was the small number of volunteers, which at most was eleven!
Kudos, therefore, to the following: Nikos Tsiolis, Spyros Tsilibaris, Ioanna Georgota, Panayiotis Kaloudis, Ignatios Koskeris, Giorgos Zaragas, Makis Darmanis, Dimitris Gerochristos, Nikos Karatarakis, Nikos Mantzourogiannis and Spyros Nerantzis.
