American student volunteers clean up Garitsa Park

CORFU. The volunteers collected six large bags of rubbish.
A clean-up of Garitsa Park took place on Thursday morning with the help of American pupils who are on the island as part of volunteer programmes. The children collaborated with the Corfu Green Pelekas volunteer group. Six large bags of rubbish were collected. This particular initiative was carried out in cooperation with the Central Corfu Municipality Town Community Councillor, Spyros Skliris, who is responsible for the maintenance of the Garitsa–Anemomylos Park.
The pupils had already carried out another clean-up in Liapades.
