Lefkimmi Cultural Society President: The landfill isn’t going to go into operation

“Within the next few days we are going to meet and decide how to proceed. Our position remains the same as it was – the landfill is not going to go into operation. We had expected this response. It could be seen by the behaviour of the mayor and the MPs over the last few days.

This is not a matter to be decided by the Minister but by us from now on! We have fought to save our area for so many years and we will continue to do so. How we proceed will depend on the developments but I cannot say anything at the moment until I have spoken with the residents.”
